Lil Uzi Vert talks about dropping new album in new twitter video
Hip Hop has recently been in a transition stage where artists are returning from prison and releasing music. Legends like Lil Uzi Vert has continued to maintain his consistency throughout the years. Like in 2020, the rapper dropped three projects on streaming platforms.
The three projects that Lil Uzi Vert dropped was Eternal Atake, the later deluxe version, and his project with Future Pluto x Baby Pluto.
For 2021, the rapper can be found tweeting constantly about returning to his older sound. This excites fans as they have been pushing the rapper to make sounds like he did in the early days of his career. In a Twitter post of an Uzi’s fan page, Lil Uzi Vert was seen talking about his new album on video. He proceeded to talk about joining the new wave of returning rappers and how he’s going to drop.
In the video you can hear how Lil Uzi starts to sound angry towards the end of the clip. Saying words about checking up on what rappers are doing and how he is going to show them that he is still king. Every since the hype of Bobby Shmurda returning home, a lot of fame rappers are starting to up their catalog.
This can result in a more competitive space which in turns makes great music. Like Mario Judah throwing shots at Playboi Carti, many famous rappers are noticing how the new wave is slowly taking over and “no one is safe”. What kind of motivation does Lil Uzi Vert have for going back to his older sounds? It seems like he is referring to his 2016 stages.
One thing to note here is that Uzi recently came into decent terms with his label. This can be a factor on the rappers move to come back to the studio. Who’s excited for Uzi’s return?
