Snoop Dogg continues to inspire multiple generations in the hip hop community. From becoming a rap legend to endorsing a weed icon, every rapper has something to learn from the artist. Snoop has many credits to his name including a television star, game show host, coach, and many more public relations work. It’s no doubt that the 49 year old is still inspiration artists his age and proving that you’re never too old for the hip hop industry.
Ricardo Brown, aka Kurupt, used to work with Snoop Dogg in his 1993 debut Doggystyle. Ever since, Kurupt has learned a lot from Snoop and his accomplishments. The West Coast rapper has inspired Kurupt, to start a reality tv show about his every day life with his wife Lisa Calinanita.

Lili and Gotti: Kurupt’s Reality TV Show
Kurupt talked to HipHopDX in a recent interview, he explains his new TV Show that was inspired by Snoop Dogg. The show will follow rapper Kurupt and his wife and feature their lives. “We’re working on a reality show right now, It will be about me and my wife in the everyday life of Kurupt and LiLi. It’s called LiLi and Gotti.” Kurupt said.
Shows like Brat Love Judy, T.I. & Tiny: Family House, and Snoop’s 2007 TV Show Father Hood has been mentioned by Kurupt as inspirations. The rapper says, “Those are shown as part of my inspiration,” he said. “Me and my wife, we love Da Brat. And Brat Loves Judy, we just really love that. We love T.I. and Tiny. I think my favorite is Tiny, but my main inspiration really came from Snoop. Most of my inspirations come from Snoop because Snoop is the champ. His reality show with his wife, that was my main inspiration. I’d like them to see not just Kurupt. Now they’re going to have the ability to see who Ricardo is, the man.”

Kurupt extends his support and love for Snoop Dogg by crediting him for helping him with his humor. Kurupt later understood how humility works and how to become flexible as a hip hop artist. For example, in 1994, Snoop was featured in Tha Dogg Pound’s video “What Would You Do?”.

Kurupt Receives His Own Street in Pennsylvania
In Pennsylvania the 48 year old rapper Kurupt was gifted his own street after receiving notoriety for his part in the hip hop industry. Ruthless Records, Death Row Records, and the multiple albums that generated millions of dollars was partly due to the efforts of Kurupt. Kurupt of The Dogg Pound was an important part of the Snoop Dogg group. One of the notable accomplishments was the making of the 2x platinum single “Dog Food” and “Cali Iz Active”.
With the rapper Kurupt living in his hometown for over 30 years, the town finally gifted back and held a ceremony at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Roosevelt. It’s not often something like this happens,” Kurupt tells HipHopDX. “We’re from a small part of this Philadelphia situation. We’re on the outskirts of Philly in Darby Township. All my family’s in Philly.
