Famous Dex Gets Nailed With 19 Charges & Faces Prison Time

Famous Dex gets charged in Los Angeles, California with 19 different charges. The charges face potential prison time.

Famous Dex is a Chicago native rapper who could now be facing some serious prison time. According to TMZ, Dex has reportedly been charged with 19 different charges from 3 incidences. After a rehab comeback, Famous Dex seemed to be heading towards the right route. That is until recent mishaps that’s been burying a huge hole for the Chicago rapper to climb out of.

Let’s talk about the charges. The first one was stemmed from a situation in October 2020. Famous Dex allegedly assaulted a woman and is now being charged with domestic violence, threatening a domestic partner, exhibiting a firearm, inflicting bodily injury, dissuading a victim from reporting a crime, defacing property, and illegal possession of a firearm. It is crazy to think of how many charges you can rack up from one single incident.

The story doesn’t end there, this is because a month later police were contacted again at Famous Dex’s home. When police arrived they discovered a women with visible cuts on her body. What was shocking was that Famous Dex barricaded himself inside the home and refused to come out. Thus a SWAT team was used to arrest the rapper. On this separate but similar incident, Dex racked up a domestic violence charge, weapon possession, dissuading a victim from reporting a crime and defacing property yet again.

Famous Dex Arrested For Carrying A Loaded Gun During A Traffic Stop

On March 16, Dex was arrested again for carrying a loaded gun. This was discovered during a routine traffic stop, the rapper is not allowed to have a gun due to a restraining order. He is also being charged for possession of a firearm without a serial number. Keeping an unmarked gun around will lead to serious trouble but many rappers find it necessary to protect themselves at all costs. Even if it means catching a firearm charge.

This is especially true for Famous Dex since just days earlier, the Chicago rapper told police that he was robbed at gunpoint. The robbers took with them a $50,000 watch and bundles of cash in the San Fernando Valley. Things are seemingly unsafe which would validate the need for a firearm regardless of the legality.

Famous Dex Battles Substance Drug Abuse In 2021

It’s no new news that Famous Dex has been struggling with drug abuse for the past years. In January, loads of fans were spreading images of Famous Dex in which he appears to be under heavy drugs. After denying the use of hard drugs, Dex checked in to a rehab facility for some much-needed help. I am glad he is comfortable enough to visit these places on his own as he has much potential.

It is unfortunate that the rapper could be facing up to 18 years in prison if convicted on all charges. We hope the best for the rapper and we encourage the recovery of the abuse.
