Rich The Kid has been labeled as one of the hardest working artists in the nation. He has numbers in 100s of shows a year, now with COVID, things may be different for performing artists. That is no problem for Rich The Kid though, he continues to come out with plenty of content. Recently, he posted on Instagram describing how it was when he was an upcoming artist.
Rich The Kid is working towards independence and owning his masters. On February 3rd the rapper told his fans that he had to spend $1 million dollars to get out of his first major record deal. He has worked with 3 major record labels including Interscope, 300 Entertainment, and Quality Control Music.
“My first deal I ever signed I had to pay 800k cash to be released!” he started. “When they asked me for it I had 7k to MY NAME!! After that I went platinum hella times.. But n-ggas always doubted me, even before that I’ve always been the most hated I’ve been threw [sic] everything by now ain’t nun that I ain’t seen.. My own family turn, my own bros not support me & still end on top! Why causes I’ve always put God first!! Moral of the story… Nobody can stop God‘s plan for you.”
