Waka Flocka Flame, known for his energetic performances and hit songs, has recently made headlines for his outspoken political views. On July 31, the rapper took to Twitter to clarify his support for Republican nominee Donald Trump, urging civility among those who disagreed with his stance.
Trump still my president I don’t have to stand with a red hat or dance or stage for money in my pockets… didn’t push me this direction… this is my choice like I choose not to eat pork but do that make me hate pork lovers or disrespect their character…nor will I act like…

“Trump is still my president,” Waka Flocka Flame declared. “I don’t have to wear a red hat or perform on stage for money in my pockets to support him. That was not what influenced my decision.” He emphasized the importance of respecting differing opinions, stating, “This is my choice, just like I choose not to eat pork. But does that make me hate pork lovers or disrespect their character?”
Waka Flocka Flame detailed his alignment with Trump’s policies, asserting his desire for rights, freedom, equality, accountability in policing, and higher pay for teachers. “I just want my rights,” he tweeted. “My freedom, equality, men and women being held accountable for bad policing, women having rights and making choices for themselves, teachers being paid more, and the list goes on. But hey, I’m just a small-time entertainer with a small voice. I know no one is listening.”
Despite his calls for understanding, the rapper’s behavior during a recent concert suggests a more confrontational approach. On July 2, during a performance in Utah, Waka Flocka Flame singled out Joe Biden supporters, telling them, “All Joe Biden voters, get out of my concert. We’re going to see y’all at the bingo game. We’re gonna party right now for President T24!” This incident drew criticism from fans who felt alienated by his remarks, highlighting the tension and division in the current political climate.
It’s worth noting that Waka Flocka Flame was awarded by the Trump administration in 2021 with a lifetime achievement award for his philanthropic work with the Chicago organization Daughter of Destiny.
While Waka Flocka Flame doesn’t claim to be a political expert, the increasing vocalization of his ideology has certainly stirred conversation among his fan base and the public. His recent tweets and concert behavior reflect a complex stance that combines support for Trump with a plea for respectful discourse, engaging his fans in a broader social dialogue.
