Chance the Rapper Releases "Buried Alive" Music Video

April 25, 2024

Chicago-based rapper Chance the Rapper has released a new song titled "Buried Alive" along with a music video. In the song, Chance addresses his personal struggles, including his recent divorce and a possible dispute with his former management. The song's title reflects the visuals of Chance being trapped inside a coffin, and the lyrics give a glimpse into the rapper's frustrations. Chance raps, "Where's his money now? Where's his wife at? Where's his manager? Where's his hype at? Then they threw the dirt on the casket," hinting at challenges that are beyond the public's knowledge of his recent divorce.

What's more, this release marks a significant shift in Chance's music. For the first time, he hints at issues with his management, a topic he's never broached before. The song also suggests a rekindling of his creative spark. In his own words, "I just needed, I just needed somethin' I could rap on," followed by lines that speak of overcoming obstacles and finding his rhythm again.

But that's not all. Brace yourselves for chance's upcoming mixtape, "Star Line," which promises to be a star-studded affair with collaborations from the likes of Lil Wayne, DJ Premier, and Lil Yachty. As the release date draws near, the anticipation is palpable. In the meantime, "Buried Alive" serves as a raw and intimate window into Chance the Rapper's current state of mind, setting the stage for what's to come.
