Drake hires model that looks like Kendrick Lamar's fiancée

Drake Hires Model Who Looks Like Kendrick Lamar Fiancée

July 12th 09:14

In a move that's reignited the longstanding feud between two of hip-hop's biggest names, Drake has hired a model for his OVO clothing brand who bears a striking resemblance to Kendrick Lamar's fiancée, Whitney Alford. This strategic move, seen by many as a deliberate attempt to provoke Lamar, has sparked heated discussions after photos of OVO's latest collection were posted on Instagram.

Comments from fans were quick to highlight the model's resemblance to Alford. The shock and disbelief were palpable. "They tryna sub with a Whitney look alike. Drake's camp is trying to sabotage his career," one person remarked. Another added, "Nah, they did this on purpose to troll Ken." A third user noted, "Whitney on a wifebeater fit…..yall hilariously petty," referencing a photo of Ferguson wearing a white OVO vest.

This latest development follows Drake's pointed references to Alford in his diss tracks "Push Ups" and "Family Matters." On "Family Matters," Drake alleges: "When you put your hands on your girl, is it self-defense 'cause she bigger than you? They hired a crisis management team to clean up the fact that you beat on your queen/ The picture you painted ain't what it seems; you're dead." He also questioned the authenticity of Lamar and Alford's relationship, rapping, "Why did you move to New York?/ Is it 'cause you livin' that bachelor life?/ Proposed in 2015 but don't wanna make her your actual wife /I'm guessin' this wedding ain't happenin', right?/'Cause we know the girls that you actually like/ Your darkest secrets are comin' to light."

Drake further insinuated that one of the couple's children was fathered by Lamar's manager and business partner, Dave Free: "You did her dirty all your life, you tryna make peace/ I heard that one of 'em little kids might be Dave Free."

The feud between Drake and Lamar, which has been a prominent narrative in the hip-hop community, dates back to earlier this year. Both artists have taken public jabs at each other over the years, and this latest stunt by Drake is seen by many as a deliberate attempt to provoke Lamar, adding another layer to their ongoing rivalry.

As the situation develops, fans and industry insiders alike are watching closely, eagerly anticipating potential responses from Kendrick Lamar's camp. The question remains: how will Lamar address this latest affront, and what impact will it have on the already volatile dynamics between these two rap giants?
