Lil Durk Receives Fourth Superseding Indictment in Murder-for-Hire Case

August 07th 16:02

Lil Durk is scheduled to go to trial later this month in the murder-for-hire plot tied to the death of Quondo Rondo’s cousin, and prosecutors have filed another round of charges before the start of the proceedings. HipHopWired reports that Lil Durk was hit with a fourth superseding indictment as the case continues to move forward, with the rapper’s defense attorneys contesting what prosecutors have presented.

According to an examination of court documents, prosecutors filed the latest indictment on July 31. The new grand jury indictment centers on interstate stalking, which increases Durk’s total number of charges from six to seven, as prosecutors divide parts of the stalking allegation into separate counts.

What’s in the superseding indictment

HipHopWired reports that prosecutors split a combined stalking allegation into two separate charges. One count focuses on tracking Quando Rondo with a dangerous weapon, while the other count relates to the death of Saviay’a Robinson, also identified as Lul Pab, who is described in the report as the cousin of Rondo.

The report says prosecutors took this approach to help avoid any legal complications in court by breaking the charge into two counts.

Durk’s other charges listed in the report include murder in aid of racketeering, conspiracy to commit interstate stalking, conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire resulting in death, and a firearms charge.

Motions and trial dates

HipHopWired reports that prosecutors and Durk’s defense team will argue motions on August 13. Durk is set to stand trial on August 20.
