Kodak Black turned himself in to police, according to a newly surfaced 15-minute video showing the moments leading up to his arrest. The video comes amid continuing coverage of Yak’s recent legal troubles, including an arrest in May tied to charges of fleeing police.
The arrest shown in the video is related to that May case, which was described as allegedly marking Kodak Black’s second run-in with police during that week. In the footage, Kodak Black gets out of an SUV, undergoes a pat down, and is ultimately placed in cuffs. The May arrest was captured on bodycam footage connected to charges linked to a February 27 incident, involving allegations that he had knowledge of an order to stop but still proceeded to flee from deputies.
The warrant described in the report also alleges that Kodak Black obstructed an officer “in the lawful execution of his legal duties, without offering or doing violence to the person of the officer.”
